Hello & welcome! My name is Leigh Snaith-Brunton also known as The Sharpie Domino Queen & yes, that is a TARDIS in my bio photo ;0). I love animals & all things scifi, fantasy & supernatural & enjoy music, books, dancing, gaming, movies & TV shows when I'm not creating Art!
I’ve been an artist my whole life & trained as a Fine Artist in painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, photography & a certified Gare Ceramics instructor. I’m also a graphic designer, digital artist, jewelry designer & interior designer as well as an avid crafter & discovered rubber stamping in 1995. I’ve been creating cards, altered & mixed media creations ever since. Quite a few years ago now I discovered the world of ball jointed dolls & fell in love with the more unusual, edgier & gothic resin dolls by American & Asian companies. I’m also an adult collector of the original Monster High doll line. To me dolls are sculptures that move & creating fashions for them, customizing them & photographing them is another wonderful artistic world to enjoy!
I was born in England & raised in South Africa where I painted & sold ceramics as Velvet Paw Ceramics, a name which reflects my deep love of animals, especially cats! I specialized in painting realistic & fantasy ceramic cats & other animals & sold my ceramics in stores, at cat shows & fairs. Velvet Paw Ceramics later became Velvet Paw Creations when I discovered rubber stamping & I taught ceramic & rubber stamping classes in my home studio. I now work out of my studio in Southern California where I design my LeigSBDesigns Art Stamps.
I accept commissions for one of a kind artwork. Send me an email via the Contact Me form with details on the kind of artwork you're interested in & we'll go from there. I look forward to hearing from you.

In 2014 I became a licensed designer for Smeared Ink & designed the full sheet rubber stamp set called Autumn's Pencil that consists of autumn & Halloween tangle inspired designs. Smeared Ink are no longer in business but I'm thrilled to bring you my Autumn's Pencil designs as digi stamps. The rubber stamp set will be available again when I launch my rubber stamp line so be sure to follow me to stay up to date on my new releases & news!
I have been involved in the world of Rubber Stamping since 1995. My passion for art & stamping got me through the worst times in my life, first when I was diagnosed with breast cancer & when we lost my precious Daddy to cancer too. Later, rubber stamping & doll collecting also helped me through a 3 year long breast cancer surgical nightmare too. Art, crafting, serving on many design teams & being an admin on 2 popular doll Facebook groups helped me stay strong throughout & I'm now a proud Breast Cancer survivor for 19+ years & happily creating art to my hearts content!
In 2002 I discovered my passion for Altered Game Art & pioneered using Sharpie markers to create vibrant miniature works of art on dominoes & was given the nickname "The Sharpie Domino Queen" by members of my DominoART Yahoo group. My Yahoo group still exists to current members only & now all our activity takes place on my DominoART blog & Facebook group & you can follow what's happening on my DominoART Facebook Page too. Come & join the fun and discover the world of Altered Game Art!
